This morning while
hunting for a Sasquatch, I took this picture of a Tamarack turning color...As
an experienced outdoorsman, I can assure you that it is an unmistakable sign that
winter is on its way! Apparently tamarack is the name that was given to this tree
species by the Algonquians and means "wood used for snowshoes." Yep,
its meaning reveals, when a Tamarack changes color, that it is a clear sign
that winter is on its way.
It would be easier to see this Tamarack's changing color, if it wasn't covered with snow.

I lived on Tamarack Street in Las Vegas, but it never tuned colors and it didn't snow.
Seriously, very nice photo, and yes, winder is on the way.
